It is one of the most densely populated areas globally, with many residents living together under one roof.

The Regent International has over 30 floors with various amenities like restaurants, pools, and nail salons. It even has grocery stores and internet cafes. Everything you need can be found inside this “dystopian apartment”.

However, it’s important to note that the residents are not compelled to stay indoors or live in a “dystopian apartment.” In fact, the majority of residents are young professionals, influencers, or college students who find living in an S-shaped building cost-effective and convenient.

Living at Regent International offers residents incredible convenience with all necessities under one roof. Affordability is also a major advantage. Units come in different sizes and prices, ranging from 1,500 RMB (around $200.00) to 4,000 RMB (just under $600.00) per month.

Some people are worried about it being a “dystopian apartment,” but others have praised its innovative design. It has also been hailed as “the most sustainable living building on earth.”

However, a major drawback of this housing solution is that people will have very little personal space and limited opportunities to be outdoors or get fresh air. Fortunately, this issue can be resolved by taking a walk or renting one of the larger units in the Regent International, which come with balconies and offer some relief from living there.
